Listen to Pasted Text with ReadSpeaker TextAid

Overview

This article provides instructions on how to paste text into ReadSpeaker TextAid and listen to it read aloud.

Instructions

  1. Open ReadSpeaker TextAid from Brightspace.  (Go to brightspace.villanova.edu and select ReadSpeaker TextAid under Villanova Resources)
  2. Open the text area in TextAid.
  3. Copy the text you want to hear from a document, webpage, email, or other source.
  4. Paste the text into the TextAid text area.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  5. Click Listen or select the play button to begin reading the text aloud.
  6. Use the available controls to:
    • Pause or resume reading Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
    • Adjust the reading speed Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
    • Change the reading voiceUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  7. Edit, replace, or remove the pasted text as needed.
