Overview
This article provides instructions for connecting to VUMobile on various operating systems.
Instructions
Android and Chromebook
- Navigate to settings, then select WiFi. You should see a screen similar to below:

- Set security to WPA/WPA2/WPA-3 Enterprise. If these options are separate, select "WPA2."
- Set EAP method to PEAP
- Set CA Certificate to Do not validate. If there is no option for this, select "Use System Certificates."
- If prompted for a domain, enter "villanova.edu"
- In the Identity field, enter your userid. Leave the Anonymous Identity field blank.
- For password, enter your Villanova password.
iOS
- Go to Settings, then Wi-Fi.
- Select VUMobile from the list of available networks.
- Enter your userid and Villanova password. Click Join.
- Select Trust to trust the certificate.
Linux
- Open Settings, then select Wi-Fi.
- Select VUMobile from the list of visible networks.
- You should see a similar menu to the image below:

- Set Wi-Fi security to WPA & WPA2 Enterprise.
- Set Authentication to Tunneled TLS.
- Select the "No CA certificate is required" option.
- Set Inner Authentication to MSCHAPv2 (no EAP).
- Enter your Villanova credentials in the username and password fields.
- Click connect.
Mac OS
- Go to Settings, then Wi-Fi.
- Select VUMobile from the list of available networks and click Connect.
- Enter your userid and Villanova password. Click OK.
- A window will pop up to verify the certificate. Click Continue.
- Enter your laptop’s login password and click Update settings.
Windows
- Go to Settings, then Network & internet.
- From there, click Wi-Fi, then Show available networks.
- Select VUMobile from the list of available networks and click Connect.
- Enter your Villanova userid and password. Click OK.
- When prompted, click Connect to trust the certificate.
