This article will walk you through adding additional members to agroup.

Requirements

Ownership of type 2 (shared) Outlook account or distribution list.

Instructions

  1. Navigate to directory.villanova.edu, and search for your profile.
  2. Click on your name to view your profile information. On the lower right hand side, you should see a list of type 2 accounts that you have access to. These are the access groups that permit you and others to access the shared mailbox with that name.

  1. Select the account you wish to grant access to.
  2. Click on the access group for that account.
  3. You will see a list of Owners and Members. Members will have access to the shared mailbox while Owners will also be able to follow these instructions to manage members and owners.

  1. Based on the person you are adding and the access they require, click either "Search for owners" or "Search for members" and then search for the person you wish to add and bring up their profile.
  2. Once you are viewing the profile for that person, select either "Add Membership of Group" or "Add Ownership of Group" on the left-hand side. Make sure the account you want is the one listed.

  1. Once added, allow approximately 30 minutes for the account to sync and then the person will then have access.
  2. If a person must be removed from a group, click the checkbox next to their user id and then click "Remove Selected". The tool only allows you to remove one person at a time.

  1. Similarly, if you click on the user id and visit the person's profile, the left-hand menu options will change and you can click "Remove Membership from Group" or "Remove Ownership from Group" depending on the circumstance.
