VUPlay: Frequently Asked Questions

First, verify your system is registered with the correct MAC address. Then disconnect your system from the network and wait 5 minutes before trying again.

VUPlay is for approved gaming and streaming systems only.

Try the following to improve your experience with your PS5:

1. Go to the Settings menu.
2. Select Network.
3. Select Settings.
4. Select Set Up Internet Connection.
5. Wait for the initial scan to end.
6. Press the Options button on your controller to access the advanced menu.
7. Under Wi-Fi Frequency Bands, Select 5GHz Only.
8. The PlayStation will then re-scan for Wi-Fi networks on the 5GHz band – wait a few seconds.
9. You may have to reconnect to VUPlay, but it may reconnect automatically.

Sony Playstation, Nintendo Wii and Gameboy, and Microsoft Xbox gaming systems, as well as Smart TVs and streaming devices such as Apple TVs, Roku devices, and Amazon FireTV.

Devices that require communicating with other devices over the network in order to function are not supported. Examples include smart alarm clocks, lights, or other devices that require smartphone connection in order to function.

At this time Chromecast, Google Home, and Wireless printers are not supported.
