Zoom Phone: Can I transfer existing (Avaya) voicemails to Zoom phone?

Summary

This article covers how to save important voicemails prior to the Zoom Phone migration taking place in your building or area.

Body

Unfortunately, it's not possible to directly transfer saved voicemail messages from our existing (Avaya) system to Zoom Phone.

Here's what you can do instead:

  • Access your Avaya voicemails before the Zoom Phone migration:
  1. You can access voicemail from your on-campus Avaya phone by pressing the "Messages" key and entering your password or by navigating to voicemail.villanova.edu
  2. To access voicemail from an off-campus phone, you will need to dial 610-519-6000, enter your extension, and then your password.
  • Save important voicemails: If you have any voicemails you want to keep, listen to them before the migration and consider ways to save them, such as recording them using an external device or application.

Post Migration: Zoom Phone offers voicemail-to-email and transcription services for messages received after the migration. This means you can get audio files and text transcriptions of your voicemails delivered directly to your email.
