Overview
Faculty, staff and advisors can view general student information by term, including whether the student has allowed FERPA release to trusted individuals. This means that Villanova faculty, staff, administrators are allowed to release academic information to those individuals named in the release. This does NOT include medical or disciplinary information. The current label for FERPA release is "Parental Consent". If the student provided this consent the Parental Consent value will be Y and the designated individual names granted consent to discuss and review student academic records will be listed. If student did not provide FERPA release the Parental Consent value will be N and no names will be listed.
If the student has requested a confidential hold, that information will be listed. A confidential hold overrides a FERPA release and indicates that NO Information regarding the student can be released without the express consent of the student. All information pertaining to the student is deemed confidential.
