Overview
This article will walk you through the process of creating a sandbox in Brightspace.
Instructions
1. To begin, log into Brightspace.
2. Navigate to the Villanova University home page. This will open by default when you log into Brightspace.
Note: If you are on a course page, select the Villanova University logo in the top left corner to return to the University home page.
3. Scroll to the bottom of the Villanova University home page and locate the Create Sandbox widget. Select Get Started.
4. First, enter a name for your sandbox. A best practice is to include “sandbox” in the name so it is easily distinguishable from the live course. Next, open the drop down menu and select your department.
5. Once you’ve filled out the prompts, select Next.
6. Finally, review and confirm the name and department you’ve selected for your sandbox. If everything looks correct, select Create Course.
To access your newly created sandbox, on the Villanova University home page, navigate to the My Courses widget. From the term categories, select Sandboxes, and from the options provided, select the sandbox course you’ve created.
