Brightspace: Access Your Course (Students)

Overview

This article details how to access courses in Brightspace. 

How do I log into Brightspace?

1. Go to MyNova and search for “Brightspace,” or go directly to https://brightspace.villanova.edu.
2. Click “Login to Brightspace.”
3. Log in with your Villanova UserID and password.

When can I enter my Brightspace course(s)?

• Brightspace courses automatically become available to students seven (7) days before the official course start date. Prior to that date, you may see the course in the My Courses widget, but you will not be able to access it.

How long will I have access to my Brightspace course(s)?

• Brightspace courses become unavailable to students twenty‑five (25) days after the official course end date. In the My Courses widget, you will see the exact date and time access ends.

I am not seeing my Brightspace course

1. First, confirm that you are officially registered for the course: Instructions
2. If the course is still not visible, contact Villanova University Technology Services (UTS) by calling 610‑519‑7777, emailing support@villanova.edu, or visiting the UTS Support site.
