Brightspace: Take a Quiz, Test or Exam

Overview

This article explains how to take a quiz, test, or exam in Brightspace.

1. First, find your Quiz/Test/Exam in Brightspace - click on Quizzes on the blue course navigation bar, and then find your Quiz/Test/Exam.
   
   Note: In some instances, your instructor might place a link to your Quiz/Test/Exam within Content. If so, on the top navigation bar, click Content. And then find the Quiz/Test/Exam listed on the left-hand course menu
   
   
    
2. Before starting your Quiz, review the information on the Summary page, including:
   • Quiz Period: The start date and end date for the quiz.
   • Time Allowed: The time available to complete the quiz.
   • Attempts: The amount of times you are allowed to take the quiz.
   • Instructions: Explains how the quiz works.
3. Click Start Quiz when you are ready to begin your quiz.
4. Once you start your quiz and enter your answers, you will see notifications that your answers have been auto-saved.
   
   
    
5. While taking your quiz, the following options are available:
   • Option to show or hide the timer.
     
     
   • Special warnings at certain times help you to support awareness of time left, including at 1 minute and 5 minutes remaining
     
     
   • Select Quiz Information to review information about the quiz again.
     
     
6. Once you click "Submit Quiz", you will be asked to confirm that you want to officially submit your quiz.
