Overview
Learn how to sign up to receive notifications for NOVA Alert, Villanova's emergency notification system, as a parent or family member and the University community/visitors. NOVA Alert delivers important emergency alerts, notifications, and updates through a text message to the number you choose to register. When an incident or emergency occurs, authorized senders will notify you using NOVA Alert.
Requirements
You must a parent or family member or the University community/visitors to sign up to receive alerts. If you are a current student or employee, please follow these instructions.
Instructions for Signing Up
- Text NOVAALERT to 333-111
- You will receive a confirmation text message saying you have been subscribed
Instructions to Unsubscribe
- Text STOP NOVAALERT to 333-111
- You will receive a confirmation text message saying you have been unsubscribed
Please note that you will be asked to resubscribe annually.
Additional Information
Parents & Families
As of April 2026, families can now sign up to receive NOVA Alerts by texting NOVAALERT to 333-111. They can unsubscribe at any time by texting STOP NOVAALERT to 333-111. They will be asked to resubscribe annually.
Students may add their parents by adding additional devices for their parents' phone numbers and emails, who wish to receive NOVA Alerts
- In the NOVA Alert – Sign-Up section, select "Add An Alert Device and Email".
- Add additional device information as needed.
