Brightspace: How to use Alternative Formats in Brightspace (Students)

Summary

Learn how to use the alternative formats of course files and pages in your Brightspace courses.

Body

Overview

In every Brightspace course, you will be able to download alternative formats of course files and pages within the course.

The Ally Tool within Brightspace generates alternative formats to make course content more accessible.  The alternative formats are automatically created from the original file and are designed to support different learning preferences, assistive technologies, and accessibility needs.

Each alternative format provides the same core content as the original file but is optimized for specific use cases (e.g. audio for listening, ePub for mobile reading, or tagged PDFs for screen readers, etc...)
