Zoom: New Zoom Web Portal Experience

Overview

On August 3, 2026, Zoom will release a new Zoom Web experience.  You will be able to try this new web experience starting July 23, 2026 by clicking on the “Try new experience” option when you log into Villanova Zoom via your web browser. 

This article will help Villanova University faculty, staff, and students navigate the updated experience. 

The new Zoom Web Experience has noticeable changes regarding where you access Zoom features like Meetings, Phone, Cloud Recordings, Zoom AI Meeting Summaries, and Settings, as well as other visual changes.  
Core Zoom functionality is not changing as part of this new Zoom Web Experience. 

Here are 5 important changes that you might notice (Learn more about the new Zoom Web Experience change) 

• Product Waffle menu replaces the left navigation menu 
• Create/Edit/Start Meetings through “Meetings” button
• Access Phone settings through "Phone" button 
• Find your Cloud Recordings and AI Meeting Summaries through “Hub” button or “My account” page 
• Access your Zoom account settings through “My account” page  

What is Changing (as of August 3, 2026)

• Product Waffle menu replaces the left navigation menu: The navigation in the Zoom Web Portal has been updated.  The menu that was previously located on the left side of the screen has been consolidated into the Zoom Products selector (waffle icon), located in the top-right corner of the page.

• Create/Edit/Start Meetings through “Meetings” button: To review your upcoming meetings or schedule a new meeting: Click the Zoom Products selector (top-right corner of the page), Select the Meetings icon.

• Access Phone settings through "Phone" button: To access Zoom Phone settings via your web browser: Click the Zoom Products selector (top-right corner of the page), Select the Phone icon.

• Find your Cloud Recordings and AI Meeting Summaries through “Hub” button or “My account” page: Recordings and AI Meeting Summaries are now located in the Zoom Hub.  
  • To access recordings and AI Meeting Summaries, click on the Zoom Products selector (top-right corner of the page), select the Hub icon.  You will find your cloud recordings and AI Meeting Summaries on the left-hand navigation menu. 
  • Or, click your profile icon (your initials or profile picture) in the top-right corner, and click "My Account".

• Access your Zoom account settings through “My account” page:  Your profile area contains your account settings. To access your profile, click your profile icon (your initials or profile picture) in the top-right corner.  From there, you can access your profile and account settings
