Brightspace: Using a Course Template

This article will cover what a Course Template is and how to apply it to your course.

Instructions

There are two VU Course Templates available for use by faculty. These templates offer varying amounts of structural support for faculty developing a course in Brightspace for the first time.

1. From the organizational homepage, in the blue navigation bar at the top of the screen, select Discover.

2. On the Discover page, available courses are listed. Search for “shell” in the search bar to find the VU Course Templates that are available for your use.

3. If you wish to apply the shell to your course offering, you will need to enroll in the course. Click on the course that you want to enroll in. You will be taken to the enrollment page. Click the blue button Enroll in Course.

4. To copy the Course Template into your course, follow the directions on how to copy course materials
