D2L Brightspace LMS

Description

D2L-Brightspace will be Villanova University's new learning management system (LMS) for all courses starting with the Summer 2026 semester and can be accessed at brightspace.villanova.edu. D2L-Brightspace allows faculty and students to access course content, complete learning activities such as assignments & quizzes, provide grades & feedback, as well as offer additional modern, innovative learning technologies to use in courses.

Requesting 

• Submit Brightspace Course Request to get assistance with copying (course copy) or merging courses (course merge)
• Submit Blackboard Course Transfer Request if you need a Blackboard course that is older than the Summer 2023 semester transferred into D2L-Brightspace. All Blackboard courses between Summer 2023-Spring 2026 semester will be automatically transferred into D2L-Brightspace LMS (you will not need to make a request for these courses). If you had instructor access to the course in Blackboard, you will have access to it in the D2L-Brightspace LMS.
• Submit Brightspace Request/Question to submit a question about using Brightspace (e.g. adding content, gradebook, quizzes, assignments, etc…).
• Request Brightspace Access to grant a teaching assistant access to Brightspace courses. View the TA Access Types KB article for more information on the different options.
• Submit a Brightspace Data Request Use this form to request data or the creation of dashboards using data from Brightspace. Please provide as much detail as possible about the information you need, the purpose of your request, and your timeline. Requestors must have a valid business case. Each request will be evaluated by the appropriate data steward.
• Report a Brightspace Issue if you're having issues with your Brightspace course.
