Description

D2L-Brightspace will be Villanova University's new learning management system (LMS) for all courses starting with the Summer 2026 semester and can be accessed at brightspace.villanova.edu. D2L-Brightspace allows faculty and students to access course content, complete learning activities such as assignments & quizzes, provide grades & feedback, as well as offer additional modern, innovative learning technologies to use in courses.

Requesting 

  • Submit Blackboard Course Transfer Request if you need a Blackboard course that is older than the Summer 2023 semester transferred into D2L-Brightspace. All Blackboard courses between Summer 2023-Spring 2026 semester will be automatically transferred into D2L-Brightspace LMS (you will not need to make a request for these courses). If you had instructor access to the course in Blackboard, you will have access to it in the D2L-Brightspace LMS.

  • Report a Brightspace Issue if you're having issues with your Brightspace course.
  • Submit Brightspace Request/Question to submit a question about using Brightspace (e.g. adding content, gradebook, quizzes, assignments, etc…).
