1. Log into your MyMediasite account: https://vums-web.villanova.edu/mediasite/mymediasite/
2. Select Add Presentation from the left-hand navigation bar (see image below).
3. Next, under Record Video, select the "In-browser" option.

4. In the “New Presentation Details” pop-up window, give your recording a name before clicking the Create and Launch button.
If Mediasite Capture doesn’t load right away and you aren't prompted to start it manually, confirm that your browser has permission to access and record your screen and microphone audio for use with Mediasite Capture.
5. If you haven't already, prepare your Name Pronunciation PowerPoint presentation using the method below that best fits your device setup:
- I have one screen: Open the PowerPoint file and minimize it to the taskbar until you are ready to start recording. Be aware: because you are using a single-screen setup, you must manually switch between Capture and PowerPoint, and you will likely need to trim the beginning and end of your recording.
- I have two or more screens: Start the PowerPoint presentation from the beginning. Confirm that the screen you will be sharing with Capture shows your maximized slide, not the speaker’s notes or the PowerPoint Editing Screen (see images below).

6. On the “What do you want to record?” page, select Display.
7. Next, select the window or screen you want to allow Capture to use (if you only have one screen, share your entire screen), then click the Next button.
8. On the “Do you want to record?” page, select Microphone.
9 First, choose the microphone you want Capture to use. Speak a little to check if the audio levels are moving and sound is being detected. When you’re finished, click the Next button.
