Mediasite: Download a copy of your presentation

The presentation must be saved to your user account before it can be enabled for download. If another user owns the presentation, only they can perform this function.

A. Open a new internet browser window and log into Villanova's MyMediasite portal: https://vums-web.villanova.edu/mediasite/mymediasite/

B. Login to your MyMediasite account via Villanova's single sign-on by entering your Villanova email and current password.

C. From your list of available Mediasite presentations, select the one you would like to enable for download by single-clicking on its title.

D. Next, select Edit Details from the right-hand navigation bar.

A. Now, from the Edit Presentation page, click the Delivery tab, then select the Vodcast check box.

 

B. Click anywhere on the text that says Select a Vodcast Project (image A below), then select Download Your Recording (image B below). Lastly, click the blue Save button in the lower right-hand corner of the browser window.

The time required to process your download depends on the server's current workload as well as the length and graphic complexity of your presentation. If you click the "Downloads" button and do not see any available files, it means that the download is still processing.

A. After your vodcast finishes processing, single-click on the Downloads link that is now available in the right-hand navigation bar under Edit Security. 


B. After the Downloads pop-up window appears onscreen, click the Vodcast (.mp4 Vodcast) link to download the .MP4 video file locally to your device.

Please note that if your Mediasite presentation includes both a camera feed and a screen share feed, the video will download as a composite file, meaning both feeds will be displayed at equal size and side-by-side on the screen.
