ExamSoft is a secure digital assessment platform used at Villanova for high-stakes exams. Faculty create, deliver, and analyze exams through the ExamSoft web portal. Students download and take exams using Examplify, ExamSoft's secure test-taking application installed on their personal laptop.
During an exam, Examplify locks down the student's device — blocking access to the internet, other applications, files, and AI tools — until all answers are submitted. Exams are delivered offline after the exam file is downloaded, so WiFi disruptions cannot affect testing. Grades and exam data automatically sync back to the Brightspace gradebook.
