VUConnect: Chromebook

Overview

This article provides instructions for connecting to VUConnect on Chromebook.

Instructions

1. Ensure you are already connected to a Wi-Fi network. If you are on campus, connect to VUGuest or eduroam.
2. Go to vuconnect.villanova.edu, then confirm that your operating system was identified correctly. If it wasn't, use the Select your device drop-down to change it.

3. Click Install.
4. You should be directed to SecureW2's JoinNow MultiOS page in the Chrome Web Store. Click Add to Chrome.

5. A pop-up window will ask whether to add "JoinNow MultiOS." Click Add extension.

6. A browser notification will confirm that JoinNow MultiOS has been added to Chrome.

7. Back on the VUConnect registration page, a notification will confirm that the Chrome extension was installed successfully. To continue, click the Sign In button.

8. You'll be directed to a Microsoft login page in your browser. Enter your userid@villanova.edu, then click Next.

9. Enter your password, then click Sign in.

10. When prompted, approve the sign in request in Microsoft Authenticator.

11. Back on the VUConnect registration page, click the Download button.

12. The registration page will display a "Loading" message, then confirm that "Enrollment succeeded."  
13. After a few seconds, a new Network tab will open in your browser. The registration page will instruct you to switch to that new tab.
14. On the Network tab, scroll down to the Import ONC file section and click Choose File.

15. Locate and select your downloaded ONC file, then click Open.

16. Your device should now connect to VUConnect automatically. If it doesn't, go to your available Wi-Fi networks and select VUConnect.
