vPrint: Client Installation (PC)

Overview: This document will walk you through the download and installation process of the Pharos vPrint client. This client will allow you to use the ‘Print’ functionality on documents to upload directly to your vPrint queue for printing.

Requirements: PC, internet browser, internet access

Steps:

Navigate to software.villanova.edu

Click on ‘Student Software’.

Expand ‘Student Software for PC’.

Click on the link for ‘vPrint PC Client’ The software will automatically begin downloading.

Single-click on the downloaded .exe file in your browser downloads, or double-click on the file in your Downloads folder.

Click ‘Yes’ when asked if you want to allow the app to make changes to your device.

The vPrint installer will open automatically. Click the ‘Install’ button. The installation should take 2-3 minutes.

Once the installation is done, click the ‘Finish’ button to close the installer.

To utilize the print client, open a document you’d like to print. Then click the ‘Print’ button.

Click the drop-down to select a printer destination. Select ‘vPrint on PHAROSAPP’, as shown in the example print image below:

You can customize any other print options available in the print menu you are using, such as enabling options like one-sided printing, or printing only selected pages.

Once you are ready to print your document, click ‘Print.’

A window will appear requiring your Villanova username, the first part of your email address. For example, if your email is wildcat03@villanova.edu, your username is wildcat03.

After entering your username, click ‘Print.’ The document will be uploaded to your Pharos vPrint queue, and will remain for 24 hours.

Scan your Wildcard at any Pharos vPrint printer, then select the document and print.
