Villanova Single Sign-on (SSO) Login Defaulting to External Organization SSO

Overview: This article will walk through the steps to create a new profile for alternate Single Sign-on (SSO) logins. This is to resolve an error that often occurs on Windows devices managed by other organizations, where the SSO login defaults to the external organization email address rather than Villanova's.

Requirements: Internet connection, Villanova credentials

Steps:

When you attempt to sign into a Villanova system, you receive the following error: 

Navigate to: edge://settings in Microsoft Edge

Create a new profile by clicking "Add profile", and set it as "userid@villanova.edu"

Scroll down on profile settings and select "profile preferences"

Change the default profile for external links to the newly created profile

You should now be able to sign into Villanova systems without being redirected by the external organization's SSO.
