2026-2027 Part of Term Dates for Credit Programs

Part of Term

Parts of Term are set and maintained by the Office of the Registrar in alignment with the official academic calendar published by the Office of the Provost. Parts of term are used to manage the concurrent shorter sessions and modules that run within the academic year at a different cadence or length in time than the traditional full semester. Calculating parts of term is done in consultation with compliance and regulatory requirements and with a thorough review of programmatic needs.

Part of term is a defined segment within an academic term that has its own start date, end date, deadlines, and meeting schedule. Institutions use parts of term to offer courses of different lengths within the same semester.

Parts of term for credit programs include: Full Term (1), Fast Forward (FF1, FF2, FF3 and FF4), Graduate Business (FA1, FA2, FA3, SP1, SP2, SP3), and Multimodality (GS1, GS2, G3, GS1, GS2, GS3).

Each part of term may have its own:

  • Registration deadlines
  • Add/drop dates
  • Withdrawal deadlines
  • Grading deadlines
  • Final exam periods
  • Refund and Financial Assistance time lines
