Academic Application: Oxford University Press

Summary

Learn how Oxford Learning Link provides textbook resources and LMS-integrated courseware so instructors can share Oxford materials and assign digital activities through Brightspace.

Body

Overview

What is it?

Oxford Learning Link (OLL) is Oxford University Press's platform for delivering digital teaching and learning resources to faculty and students who have adopted OUP textbooks. It houses instructor resources (test banks, lecture slides, instructor manuals, image banks), student resources (self-quizzes, flashcards, multimedia), and — for select titles — fully assignable digital courseware that integrates with the LMS via LTI 1.3.

For titles with LMS-integrated courseware, Oxford Learning Link allows faculty to add assignable resources directly into their Brightspace course as LTI links. Students access and complete activities through the LMS course. Grades for graded activities are passed back to the LMS gradebook.

Who is it for?

Faculty: Access instructor-only resources (test banks, lecture slides, instructor manuals) for adopted OUP titles, and add assignable student resources to your LMS course. Available for all OUP textbook adopters at no cost.

Students: Access self-study resources (quizzes, flashcards, multimedia) linked from the LMS course, or activate paid access to assignable digital courseware content if required by your instructor.

Access

Faculty access instructor resources by logging in at learninglink.oup.com.

Students are provided an access code and a website to link to (via the Course Materials link in Brightspace) to redeem access code for the courseware. They are provided a second link (also in the Course Materials link in Brightspace) to access the ebook only.

Authentication

Separate Oxford Learning Link account required. Faculty and students must create or sign in to an OLL account. Students activate access using an access code. First-time LMS access requires a one-time account linking step.

LMS Integration

Brightspace (D2L).

Cost

Cost to students for access varies by course and adoption model. Please see the textbook access program page for more information https://www.villanova.edu/university/teacher-scholars/about/textbook-access.html

Availability

Available to any faculty member who has adopted an Oxford University Press textbook. Instructor access can be requested at learninglink.oup.com. Not all OUP titles have LMS-integrated courseware confirm availability with your OUP sales representative.
