When working with data, ask yourself which classification does your data fall under, restricted, private, or public, to help reduce the risk of data breach or loss. Restricted or private data requires additional care and protection. By taking the extra step to classify your data at the file or email level, you will not only be protecting the data, but yourself, and the university.
