Outlook: Review Forwarding Settings

Tags Outlook

Beginning on February 1, 2024, Google and Yahoo are set to implement enhanced email delivery protocols to combat fraudulent emails and mitigate the dangers of email spoofing and phishing attacks. While these changes are aimed at increasing security, there is also an increased likelihood that forwarded emails will not be delivered to your Gmail or Yahoo inbox. Additionally, certain emails might be marked as spam or rejected altogether by Google, Yahoo and other external email providers who are enforcing these new security policies. These changes announced by Google and Yahoo will require organizations such as Villanova to implement enhanced email delivery protocols, and automatic forwarding from your University account to an external email provider will no longer be permitted.
