Faculty and Staff Printing: Install/Add a Network Printer (Windows)

Overview

Instructions to add/install a network printer(s) to your Villanova-issued Windows machine:

  1. Type “Run” into the search bar and hit Enter.
  2. Enter the following command: \\vups1\VUTag replacing “VUtag” with the printer’s VUtag. Note: the VUtag is located at the top of the printer. Click OK.
     
  3. If prompted, enter your Villanova credentials to finish the installation process.
  4. To set the printer as default, go to Settings, then Bluetooth & Devices, and finally Printers & Scanners.
  5. Select the printer and click Set as Default in the upper right-hand corner.
