Overview
This article provides instructions for copying a quiz from one Blackboard course to another.
Instructions
- Navigate to Blackboard and log in with single sign-on using your User ID and current password.
- Click into the course that you want to copy from (such as your course from a previous term).
- In the left-hand navigation bar in the Course Management's control panel, click on Course Tools.
- Next, click on Tests, Surveys, and Pools.

- In the Tests, Surveys and Pools area, click on Tests to see a list of available tests.
- Hover your cursor over the test that you would like to copy, then click the down arrow/caret to the right of the test name to open the item's menu.
- From the menu options, click Export to Local Computer. By default, the file will be saved to your Downloads folder in a Zipped format.

- Confirm that the zipped export appears in your Downloads folder.
- Exit the source course and enter the target course, or the course where you would like to copy the test to.
- From within the target course, in the left-hand navigation bar in the Course Management's control panel, click on Course Tools to expand that section.
- Next, click on Tests, Surveys, and Pools.
- In the Tests, Surveys and Pools area, click on Tests.
- In the Tests section, in the top navigation bar, click Import Test.

- Click Browse Local Files. Browse to and select the zip file that was downloaded in Step 7. Click Open/Upload on the lower right of the pop-up box.
- With the imported quiz selected, click Submit on the Test Import page on the lower right to complete the process.
- The Test Import Complete page should state that the import has been completed. Click OK in the lower right corner. You may now deploy the test onto a content page in the course.
