Wikis are a Blackboard communication tool. With a wiki, there is a trail of who added information to the wiki, what that information included, and when it was added.
Wikis are a useful tool for group projects enabling collaboration among students. They allow for the sharing of ideas and information while also providing a mechanism for both interaction and feedback. Wikis support the development of both critical thinking and writing skills as well as reflective learning. Wikis may influence the quality of all work rather than just that of a particular student.
