Overview
An electronic portfolio is a collection of work. The work is referred to as artifacts, reflecting the learning experience of an individual. They may be arranged for specific applications such as jobs, graduate school, or assessment. Electronic portfolios are a tool for lifelong learning.
Getting Started
Why faculty use Electronic Portfolios (e-portfolios)
An important component of electronic portfolios is reflection. A reflection may be associated with each included artifact, aiding the development of both critical thinking and writing skills. Electronic portfolios may showcase a person’s best work in a particular course or may encompass many courses showing growth and change over time. They can be a means of assessing learners.
