Blackboard & Mediasite: Linking a Mediasite Video Quiz to your Blackboard Course

Overview

This article provides instructions on how to link a Mediasite Video Quiz to your Blackboard course. 

Instructions

  1. Create the video quiz within your Villanova Mediasite account - Visit the Mediasite Video Quizzes page to learn how create your video quiz. 

    Note: If you want students scores on a Mediasite video quiz to be automatically sent to the Blackboard gradebook, then you need to set the Mediasite Video Quiz to be an "Assessment" or "Scored" in your video quiz settings, and require students to submit the video quiz.
     
  2. Go to your Blackboard course. Click on Build Content, then click Mediasite Content

  1. Click "Presentation".


    The videos in your Mediasite account will then load. You can also use the search box in the upper right corner of the screen.

Note: if your video title has more than 1 word and you have trouble finding it on the page, you can add the * symbol after the word in the search box - e.g. searching for "Week*" would give show you all of your videos that have the word "week" in the title.

  1. To add a Mediasite video quiz, click on the "Add to" button next to your video quiz, then click "Presentation Link". 





 

  1. This will add the Mediasite video quiz to your Blackboard course and automatically create a gradebook column in your Blackboard course associated with this specific video quiz. 





     
  2. As a student completes the video quiz, the score will automatically be sent to the gradebook column in your Blackboard course. In order to view students' specific answers, go to the View Analytics page within your Villanova Mediasite account (Instructions).
