On Feb. 2, the University will be migrating the villanova.edu domain from www1.villanova.edu to villanova.edu. Working with an external vendor, the University has assessed the need and impact of changing our primary domain.

How will this change impact me?
The migration was designed to have minimal impact on the user. If a user goes to a www1 link, they will be automatically redirected to the www version of the link for a period of one year.
However, after the migration is complete, Content managers should complete these updates before the 1-year redirect period ends. Additionally, if you use any URLs to the Villanova.edu website in other communications, such as email or social media posts, please update and use the www link instead of www1 going forward.
When will the migration occur?
The migration will occur on Feb. 2, beginning at 6 a.m. and is expected to be completed by 9 a.m.
How can I report an issue?
If you encounter an issue during this migration, please report it so that the appropriate team can address and resolve it.
Will the campus community be notified when the migration is completed?
The campus community is encouraged to check the University’s status page for any additional updates during the migration period.
