The University Catalog lists all official information about Villanova University course offerings. This information includes course number, credits, title and description. In addition, the catalog lists prerequisites, co‐requisites, course attributes and restrictions. When creating course offerings for the semester, it is not necessary to repeat information that is already stored in the catalog. Pre‐requisites, co‐requisites, course attributes and restrictions that do not appear in catalog, or differ from the catalog, should be added to the appropriate area of your spreadsheet. You may view the catalog information by going to the University Catalog and choosing the appropriate subject.

Deleting a section/course: If you are not offering a section or a course, please delete the row

Adding a section/course: To add a section, simply insert a row into the spreadsheet and complete all fields as required.

Titles for Topics/Seminars: If a section is a Topics or Seminar course, please indicate the specific title for the section in the Title field. All other course titles will automatically default from the catalog information. Topics titles are limited to 26 characters/spaces.

Days/Times: If you are changing days, times or limits, please simply overwrite the information in those fields

Start Date/End Date: If a section has different start and end dates than the university calendar, indicate the dates in the start and end fields provided.
Instructors

If an adjunct instructor being scheduled for the coming term is not teaching in the current term, you must notify the VPAA’s office (Christine Anderson) in order to re‐activate the instructor before they can be added to any course

Special Approval: Indicate if any special approval is required for registration (i.e. Chairperson or Director approval)

Attributes: Only include attributes that are not already attached to the course in the catalog. Permanent attributes that are attached to the course in the catalog do not need to be listed here since they’ll automatically be pulled into the course when it is created on the schedule.
