Overview
After June 18, 2026, Blackboard will no longer be accessible to faculty, staff, and students, and any data in it will not be available to Villanova University.
Since student data, such as student grades, assignment submissions, quizzes/tests/exams within Blackboard, will not transfer to D2L-Brightspace, if you need a copy of this information, please download any student data that you want prior to June 18, 2026.

Instructions
Important:
- Go to your Blackboard course.
- On the left-hand navigation menu, under Course Management, click Grade Center, and then click Full Grade Center.
- Click Work Offline, and then click Download.
- In the Data section:
- Click Full Grade Center
- If you entered comments for a student within the Blackboard Gradebook and you want to include the comments in the download, select Include Comments for this Column. Note: This DOES NOT include any comments you enter on a specific student's assignment/quiz/discussion board submission.
- In the Options section, click Comma.
- Click Submit
- On the next screen, click on Download. This will download the csv file to your computer. You can open that csv file within Microsoft Excel.

- Go to your Blackboard course.
- On the left-hand navigation menu, under Course Management, click Grade Center, and then click Full Grade Center.
- To download all students' submissions for an assignment, click the down arrow next to the assignment name and click Assignment File Download. (Note: this download includes just the student submissions and DOES NOT include your comments/grades/feedback. The file will download as a zip file that you will need to unzip.

- To download any comments or feedback you provided for a student's assignment submission, you will need to download it for each individual student:
- Click on the down arrow next to the assignment score, then click on the attempt.

- The student's submission will then appear on the screen. Click on the download button on the gray menu bar above the student's submission. This download will include any comments that you entered using the Blackboard inline grader.

- If you entered feedback in the Feedback to Learner section in Blackboard or entered your comments/feedback in another file (e.g., Word, Excel) and then uploaded it to Blackboard, follow the steps below:
- Click on the down arrow next to the assignment score, then click View Grade Details.

- On the next screen, copy the text you entered in the Feedback to Learner section or download the file that you uploaded.

- Go to your Blackboard course.
- On the left-hand navigation menu, under Course Management, click Grade Center, and then click Full Grade Center.
- To download all students' quiz/test/exam submissions, click the down arrow next to the quiz/test/exam name and click Download Results.

- In the DOWNLOAD RESULTS section, click Comma.
- Then click Click to download results. Once you unzip the file, you can open the CSV file in Microsoft Excel.

- Go to your Blackboard course.
- On the left-hand navigation menu, under Course Management, click Course Tools, and then click Discussion Board.
- Click on a discussion board. Click on a forum.
- Click on the thread(s) that you wish to save posts from. Then, click Collect.

- On the next screen, you will see all the posts in all of the threads that you selected.
- To save as a PDF, click Print Preview.
- If you want to download any graded feedback you provided to a student's discussion board post, follow the steps below:
- Click on the down arrow next to the discussion board score, then click View Grade Details.

- On the next screen, copy the text you entered in the Feedback to Learner section or download the file that you uploaded.

- The student's ePortfolio will then appear on the screen. On right hand side of the screen, in the Submission section, click on the down arrow next to the ePortfolio name. The file will download as a zip file that you will need to unzip.
