vDesktop: Connecting with Citrix Workspace App

If you're having trouble connecting to vDesktop, especially after the Summer 2024 upgrade, follow the steps below. Please note the options on your device may be different depending on the version of the Citrix application that is installed.

If you have any existing browser bookmarks in place, please update them from https://vdesktop.villanova.edu to https://villanova.cloud.com.

Windows


In the system tray, locate the Citrix Workspace icon.

Right click on the icon and select Open.

If prompted, sign in with your Villanova credentials. Once the application is open, click the gear icon in the top right corner of the window and select “Accounts..”.

Highlight the vDesktop account and select Remove.

When prompted, select Yes.

Add villanova.cloud.com in the text field and click Continue.

Click Allow when prompted.

If prompted, enter your Villanova credentials.

Mac


From Launchpad, locate the Citrix Workspace app and click the icon.

If prompted, enter your Villanova credentials. Once the app opens, click the gear icon in the top right corner of the window and select “Preferences”.

Highlight the vDesktop entry and click the – button near the bottom left of the window.​​​​​​​

When prompted, click OK.​​​​​​​

In the Citrix Workspace window, enter villanova.cloud.com and click Continue.​​​​​​​

Enter your Villanova user credentials when prompted.

Click Allow when prompted.
