vDesktop - Standard
The vDesktop environment provides secure access to university applications and the Villanova network. vDesktop is stateless, meaning that data is not persistent and, if needed, should be backed up in a location such as OneDrive.
The vDesktop environment may be useful if you:
- Teach a class which requires specialty software that cannot be installed on student computers
- Are a student, looking to access software required for coursework
- Need to access resources on the Villanova network remotely and don’t need to store information on the virtual desktop
vDesktop - Engineering
vDesktop - Engineering has all of the same features as the vDesktop - Standard environment plus software applications that are specific to the College of Engineering.
