Brightspace: How to Add Audio/Video Feedback to Assignments

1. Select the Record Audio option.

2. In the pop-up window, choose between recording audio or uploading a pre-existing audio file. To begin recording, click New Recording.

Once completed, the audio will be able to preview. Clicking New Recording again will overwrite the current draft. 

3. After you’re satisfied with your recording, click Add at the bottom of the pop-up window.

4. Enter a title for your audio recording. You can also add a description and select a language to categorize your recording. The bottom check box should be clicked to automatically generate captions. Once the settings are configured to your liking, click Add. 

5. After processing, the audio file will be uploaded and visible as an attachment in the sidebar to the right of your window. Students can access this feedback in Assignments, under Attached Files.

2. In the pop-up window, choose between Record Webcam Video or Upload File. (Note: recording with a webcam will only be a video of your face. You will be unable to share your screen to review the assignment. If you’d like to show the assignment, we recommend creating a screen recording and selecting Upload File.
