Web Analytics and Reporting

Description

The Web Services and Technologies group provides analytics and reporting support for departmental websites within Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), the university-wide content management system used for the main Villanova websites included within the www1.villanova.edu domain (departmental websites).

By using applications such as Google Analytics and SiteImprove, WST can provide information that helps users make informed decisions on the content to keep and promote, as well as pages that may need to be removed or updated. Leveraging this data helps your website increase its visibility and useability.

How to Access and Use

What Type of Data Is Included

Analytic reports can include:

  • A listing of pages and assets within a website directory
  • Analytics regarding page hits for a given website
  • Analytics regarding broken links

Requesting An Analytics Report

Requests for website analytics can be made by including the following:

  • Website path/URL
  • Description of the type of information/data needed
