Description
UKG Ready is Villanova University’s time and attendance platform. It is a cloud-based application that allows staff employees to record hours worked, request leave, and view time-off balances. It also provides managers with tools to review and approve leave requests, track attendance, and ensure compliance with University leave policies, including FMLA.
In accordance with Villanova’s Staff Employee Classification Policy:
- Non-Exempt Staff: Must record all hours worked (including overtime) in UKG Ready.
- Exempt and Non-Exempt Staff Eligible for Time-Off Benefits: Must record and track all leave usage (e.g., vacation, sick time, FMLA) in UKG Ready.

- Time Entry (Non-Exempt Staff): Record all hours worked electronically via web, mobile app, or time clock, including overtime.
- Leave Requests (Exempt & Non-Exempt Staff with Benefits): Submit and track requests for vacation, sick leave, FMLA, and other types of absence.
- Approvals: Managers can review, approve, or deny staff time-off requests directly in the system.
- FMLA Tracking: Special leave codes available to monitor FMLA eligibility, usage, and compliance.
- Reporting: Access dashboards for schedules, leave balances, and historical data.
- Time Clocks: Supports physical clock installations, maintenance, and repairs where needed.
Audience
Primary Audience:
- Non-Exempt Staff (for hours worked and leave tracking)
- Exempt Staff Eligible for Time-Off Benefits (for leave tracking)
- Managers of staff (including faculty who supervise staff)
This service is not currently available to: students or faculty for their own time and attendance. However, faculty members who manage staff may use UKG Ready in their role as managers.

UKG Ready is being rolled out in phases. At present:

Service 44 Pay Group: All staff in Dining Services, Facilities Management, and Auxiliary Services are live in UKG Ready for time and leave tracking. This group was previously on Kronos for their time and leave tracking and migrated from Kronos Workforce Central to UKG.
Future Rollout:
- As of January 1, 2026, all departments and divisions across the University will use UKG Ready for leave tracking for staff employees.
- Expansion to time tracking for all staff is planned for 2026, with an exact timeline to be determined.
Note: The long-term goal remains to fully centralize and standardize both time and leave tracking for all staff employees.
