Description

As part of Villanova’s ongoing efforts to enhance data protection, the University offers Bitwarden as its official password manager. Bitwarden is a secure tool that helps users store and manage passwords, login credentials, and other sensitive data in an encrypted vault. It generates strong passwords and syncs across devices, making it easier and safer to manage online accounts.

Bitwarden strengthens security by eliminating weak or reused passwords, while offering features like two-factor authentication, secure password sharing with other Villanova Bitwarden users, encrypted syncing, auto-fill capabilities, and the convenience of not having to remember multiple passwords.

  • Certain groups have pre-provisioned Bitwarden accounts
  • If you are not a member of the pre-provisioned groups, you can Submit a Bitwarden Account Request. Account requests will be reviewed by Information Security due to Bitwarden license restrictions.
