Brightspace: Add McGraw Hill Connect to a Course

Overview

This article covers how to add McGraw Hill Connect to your Brightspace course. 

Instructions

Note: Before you begin, please have your existing Connect® section ready.

1. Log in to Brightspace and navigate to your course. 

2. At the top of your course page, from the blue course navigation bar, click Content. Navigate to the content area you will be working in. 

3. Click the blue Add Existing button at the top of the page. 

4. On the next screen, select McGraw Hill Connect LTIA.

 

5. On the pop-up screen, select the McGraw Hill Connect platform.


6. If you have not already done so, you will be prompted to pair your course. Select the blue button Begin.

7. Click Pair with existing Connect course.

8. Select the course name of the section you want to pair, select the section name, and click Save.

9. Next, you will need to deploy assignments from Connect to Brightspace. Click Go to Section Home. This will take you to your section dashboard.
 

10. Select the assignment(s) you want to send over to Brightspace. In the right corner, click on the three vertical dots and select Deploy to Brightspace.

Note: The Deploy and Manage screen will be set to display the best grade, meaning that if students to reattempt an assignment, the best score will sync in the Brightspace grades area.

11. For the Destination, from the dropdown, select the content area you originally paired with Connect with in Step 2 above. Click Deploy.

12. The assignments should now be in the selected content area of your course. A grading column has also been created for each assignment in the course.
