Linkedin Learning & Brightspace
LinkedIn Learning within Brightspace allows instructors to add LinkedIn Learning content directly into courses, providing students with access LinkedIn Learning from inside Brightspace.
Note: Adding Linkedin Learning content in Brightspace automatically creates a gradebook column in the Brightspace gradebook. When students watch part of a Linkedin Learning video it will pass a completion score to the gradebook.
What should I know before I integrate LinkedIn Learning video in my Brightspace course?
- A Gradebook column associated with the LinkedIn Learning video(s)/course(s) gets automatically created in your Brightspace course
- When students play the LinkedIn Learning video/course, it will automatically give the student 100 points in the Gradebook.
- Don't want the LinkedIn Learning video/course to be graded? You can hide the gradebook column from your students and exclude it from any gradebook calculations - Instructions
- If you do want the LinkedIn Learning video/course to be graded, the please note the following:
- A score of 100 points will be passed to the gradebook when the student complete approximately ~90-95% of the video or course.
- You can change total points of 100 to any number you want - Instructions
- Gradebook columns are added for each LinkedIn Learning video/course that you add.
- Gradebook columns are excluded from Final Grade Calculuations. You can change this. - Instructions
- Scores from a Quiz within a LinkedIn Learning video/course do not transfer to the Brightspace gradebook.
- On the "Content" page, if you see the "Completed" under the "Completion Summary", that means the student clicked on the video link (it does not mean they watched the entire video). Please review the gradebook column associated with the video to see whether the video completed when the student opened it on their device.

Instructions
- Click "Content" on the course navigation bar.
- Select a Unit/Module where you want to add Linkedin Learning content. If you don't have a Unit/Module created, then create one by clicking on "New Unit".
Note: If you want to add Linkedin Learning content to a "Page", please be aware that you can only add one Linkedin Learning course or video on a "Page". When you add Linkedin Learning content to a Unit/Module/Folder, you can add multiple courses or videos.
- Click "Add Existing", click More, scroll down and click "Linkedin Learning".
A window will open where you can search for specific LinkedIn Learning courses or videos.
Search for Linkedin Learning content.

- You can choose to add entire course(s), specific video(s) within a Linkedin Learning course, or video(s) that are not part of a Linkedin Learning course. After finding the course(s) or video(s) you wish to add, click "Add", then select "Confirm" to include it in your Brightspace course.
The Linkedin Learning content will be added to the Unit/Module or Page.
