This article explains how to access and update your Brightspace account settings, including general preferences and notification-related options.
Instructions
Access Account Settings
- Click your personal menu.
- Select "Account Settings."
General Settings
- Change the email address for notifications.
- Update your password.
- Customize the system font size (Note: Font changes do not affect images, documents, or math questions).
Dialog Settings
- Set secondary windows as either dialogs or pop-ups.
- For assistive technology users (e.g., screen readers), set secondary windows as pop-ups.
Customize Additional Settings
- HTML Editor Settings.
- Reading Content Settings.
- Video Settings.
Locale and Language
- Adjust settings like the clock and the first day of the week.
Online Status
- Customize your online status (e.g., always appear offline).
Save Changes
- Click "Save and Close" when done.
