F.A. Davis is an independent, Philadelphia-based publisher of nursing and health science educational materials. Its primary digital platforms are:

Davis Advantage: An integrated digital learning system built around the Learn–Apply–Assess framework. Combines a personalized online learning plan (mini-lecture videos, animations, interactive activities), an interactive eTextbook, clinical judgment case studies aligned to the NCSBN Clinical Judgment Measurement Model (CJMM), and adaptive Davis Edge quizzing. Designed to prepare students for the Next Generation NCLEX® (NGN).

Davis Edge: F.A. Davis's adaptive quizzing platform. Uses thousands of NCLEX®-style questions — including Next Generation NCLEX item types — for assessment and remediation. Available standalone or bundled within Davis Advantage. Faculty assign preset or custom question banks; students receive immediate answer-specific rationales.

Faculty: Assign Personalized Learning Plans, Clinical Judgment case studies, and Davis Edge quizzing from within Brightspace. Monitor class and individual performance through the instructor analytics dashboard.

Students: Access the interactive eTextbook, complete Personalized Learning Plan activities, practice clinical judgment with NGN-style case studies, and take adaptive Davis Edge quizzes — all through the Brightspace course link.

Through the F.A. Davis / Davis Advantage link inside your Villanova Brightspace course. Faculty also manage courses directly at fadavis.com.

Separate F.A. Davis account required. Faculty and students create an F.A. Davis account using their Villanova email address. After this one-time account creation, subsequent sessions use SSO from the Brightspace course link.
