VUMobile: How to Connect

Overview

This article provides instructions for connecting to VUMobile on various operating systems.

Instructions

Android and Chromebook

1. Navigate to settings, then select WiFi. You should see a screen similar to below:

2. Set security to WPA/WPA2/WPA-3 Enterprise. If these options are separate, select "WPA2."
3. Set EAP method to PEAP
4. Set CA Certificate to Do not validate. If there is no option for this, select "Use System Certificates."
5. If prompted for a domain, enter "villanova.edu"
6. In the Identity field, enter your userid. Leave the Anonymous Identity field blank.
7. For password, enter your Villanova password.

iOS

1. Go to Settings, then Wi-Fi.
2. Select VUMobile from the list of available networks.
3. Enter your userid and Villanova password. Click Join.
4. Select Trust to trust the certificate.

Mac OS

1. Go to Settings, then Wi-Fi.
2. Select VUMobile from the list of available networks and click Connect.
3. Enter your userid and Villanova password. Click OK.
4. A window will pop up to verify the certificate. Click Continue.
5. Enter your laptop’s login password and click Update settings.

Windows

1. Go to Settings, then Network & internet.
2. From there, click Wi-Fi, then Show available networks.
3. Select VUMobile from the list of available networks and click Connect.
4. Enter your Villanova userid and password. Click OK.
5. When prompted, click Connect to trust the certificate.
