Overview
This article covers how a student can create a discussion in Brightspace.
Instructions
First, navigate to the course where you wish to create a discussion post.
From the top navigation bar, click
Discussions
.
There will be a list of discussions organized by forum topics. Click the link to the discussion topic that you wish to post in.
Click the blue button
Start a New Thread
.
Enter a subject and your post information. Some important settings to note are:
To receive updates on the thread using your selected notification method, select
Subscribe to this thread
.
To attach a file, from the
Attachments
area, click
Browse
to locate the file that you want to attach.
You can record Audio or Video for your post by clicking the
Record
dropdown menu in the Attachments area.
Click
Post
to publish.
If you need to edit or delete your post, click the caret next to the title of your post, and select either
Edit Thread
or
Delete Thread
.
