Brightspace: How to Upload/Add a File

This article will cover how to add files to Brightspace.

Instructions

Before adding a file to Brightspace, you must first create a Unit. For details on how to create a module, please click here.

1. Select the location where you would like to add content.

2. Click the Add Existing button at the top of the screen.

3. Select the appropriate icon for the type of file you wish to add. To upload a file from your computer, drag and drop the file into the outlined box or select browse feature.

Note: Files can be uploaded directly from your Google Drive or OneDrive. If you want to link to a file you’ve already uploaded into your course files, click the More icon and select from Course File or Media Library options.
