NOVASIS: Proxy Management - Student Instructions

Follow these instructions to set up a new Proxy Account.  Scroll down for instructions to verify or change access for existing Proxy Accounts.

Go to myNova.
Search for "Proxy".
Choose the Proxy Management task card:

This will bring you to the Proxy Management page.  Click on Add New to add a new proxy. View existing proxies details here after your proxy has been added.

Complete the Proxy Information form to assign parent proxy access. 

Profile: Type First Name, Last Name and Email Address for your proxies who will be able to access your information. The email address you provide will become the proxy's log in ID for proxy access.  Only one email address may be assigned per Proxy account.  Select a relationship. The default start date will be today's date. The default end date is 5 years into the future. This is the time frame you are allowing your proxy to view your record. You can change these values later, if needed.

Additional Information: You may add a description for your proxy authorization.  This is not required, but helpful if you are setting up more than one proxy profile.

Authorizations:  Select the information pages your proxy should be able to access. Once authorized, your proxy will be able to view these pages when they log in. If you wish to copy the authorizations you gave to a different proxy, go to Copy Authorizations, select the name of the authorized proxy and the same pages authorized to that proxy should be selected for the new proxy.

Click Submit.

You should receive the message:  The proxy has been successfully created and a new card for the proxy will appear on the Proxy Management page.  You can return here at a later time to edit the Proxy's authorizations. 

Sign out from your account and close your browser.

Follow these instructions to manage existing proxy account details.  Follow instructions above when adding a new proxy account.

Go to myNova.
Search for "Proxy".
Choose the Proxy Management task card:

This will bring you to the Proxy Management page.  Click on the pencil icon to view and edit proxy details. Click on the trash can icon to delete a proxy account.  Caution: This will automatically inactivate your proxy account and fully remove their access to your student record.  Do this only if you wish to inactivate their entire account.  Otherwise, please manage the access details from the pencil icon.

Verify the Proxy Information Details.    

Relationship - ​​​​​Select or change proxy relationship  (current option is only parent/guardian).

Start/Stop Date - ​​​​​​Default is 5 years from date of initial set up, but this can be adjusted to turn on/off access for a time period.  Caution: Your proxy will receive a notice that they cannot access your data if they attempt to access the account after the stop date (or before the start date).

Additional Information - You can add a description for the account, helpful if setting up more than one proxy account.

Authorizations - ​​​​​​​Select or deselect the page items you would like to release to your proxy.  View a list of available pages and their functions below.

E-mail Authorizations - ​​​​​​​Click this icon to send a new authorization message to your proxy.  This will provide your proxy with a list of the pages for which you have granted them access and a link to the proxy access site. Your proxy's log in ID is the email address you provided when setting up the account. They will need to enter this and the password they created when they first accessed their account. They can click Forgot Password after entering their log in ID to reset their password.

Remember to Submit your changes and sign out by clicking on the person icon next to your name on the top right header row.

The following pages are available in proxy management to provide view access to a proxy.  Please make sure to check these options if you would like your proxy to view them.  If you don't want to allow access to these items, do not select them for proxy access.

Academic Transcript - Your unofficial transcript for all levels attended at Villanova University. All completed coursework, grades and GPA information is provided.

Account Information - A summary of your account transactions and deposits through the bursar's office.  

Financial Aid Award History - Financial Assistance Awards by Aid Year.

Financial Aid Award Offer - Your initial Financial Assistance Award Offer.

Financial Aid Requirements - Requirements to review Financial Assistance package.

Financial Aid Notifications - Not used by Villanova at this time.  All notifications are sent via email or Postal Mail to student address.

Financial Aid Resources - Not used by Villanova at this time.  

Financial Aid Academic Progress - Report on your Satisfactory Academic Progress for Federal Financial Assistance purposes.

Financial Aid Status - Summary of your financial assistance information for the specified aid year.

Student Grades - All midterm and final grades by term and level, including cumulative GPA and earned credit information. 

Student Profile - Your current student information including: photo (if released to Villanova), student name (chosen first name, last name), student ID, contact information, emergency contact, curriculum, registered courses, and any holds on your account or student record.  Note, this is an abbreviated version of the student profile available to students. 

Tax Notification 1098T - The Tuition Statement for 1098-T for reference purposes only.  The form helps students and their families determine if they can claim education tax credits or deductions on their federal income tax return.
