Registration: Create a Registration Plan

•   In the search bar of myNOVA, type in “Registration”  
•   Select the Registration Tools task tile

•   From the drop down menu, select the upcoming term (the semester in which you will take the registered courses)

  • Click the button Create a New Plan

  • On the results page, select View Sections 

  • Review the sections offered of the course in the upcoming semester and select Add to include the section in your Plan.

  • You should see a gray block appear on the Schedule panel (bottom left of the screen).  

  • To add other courses to your plan, click on the “Catalog Search Results” arrow in the Find Courses panel, then click the “Search Again” button.  

Once you are finished adding courses to your Plan, click the “Save Plan” button in the bottom right corner of the screen. You will be prompted to name your Plan. You will see a green check mark and “Save Successful” at the top right of the screen once the Plan is saved.

Important things to note: 

  1. Students are responsible for reviewing all details of a course. This includes, but it not limited to: 
  2. Prerequisite or co-requisite courses 
  3. Time conflicts 
  4. Restrictions, such a courses for which registration is limited to students in specific cohort, major, or program of study 
  5. Plan Ahead will not prevent students from planning for or attempting to register for a course that they may be prohibited from taking 

At the time of Registration, students may register from their Plans
