Overview
On Friday, February 20, 2026, in accordance with Villanova University's quarterly minimum version requirement for Zoom, the new minimum version will be Zoom version 6.6.0. This means that if you are using a Zoom version below 6.6.0, then you will be updated to the most recent version of Zoom, Version 6.7.
Zoom Version 6.7 has noticeable changes regarding where you access certain settings, as well as other visual changes:
What is Changing
- Zoom AI Companion button will move to the Upper Right Corner of your Zoom Meeting Window: Previously, as a meeting host, you could enable Zoom AI Companion from your Zoom toolbar. Starting with Zoom Version 6.7, the Zoom AI Companion moves to the upper-right corner of your Zoom window. As the meeting host, when you click on the Zoom AI Companion logo in the upper-right corner, you can then start AI Companion and adjust other AI Companion settings for your meeting. - Host tools settings have been redesigned: Previously, when you clicked Host tools, you could immediately adjust the meeting participants' ability to share screen, use chat, start video, and unmute. Starting with Version 6.7, when you click Host tools, you will need to click Participants to access those settings. Also, to allow all meeting participants to share their screen, please follow these steps: click Host Tools, click Advanced, click Share, and adjust the Who Can Share setting (Or, find the Share icon on the Zoom toolbar, click in the arrow next to it, and click Host Tools to Share.

- Settings menus (e.g., Audio Settings, Video Settings) will now appear on the right side: Previously, Zoom Setting menus would pop up in a new window. Starting with Zoom Version 6.7, these Settings menus will appear on the right side of your Zoom meeting window.

- In Meeting Chat now appears in dark mode: You change this to can revert to light mode by clicking More, Settings, Displays & controls, Display, then disable Dark Right Panel.
