The following article provides instructions for vendors on how to download, install, connect to, and disconnect from Villanova's VPN, Palo Alto GlobalProtect. All users of the Vendor VPN portal must have sponsorship from a Villanova employee and a Guest Accounts (Courtesy Card).
Download and Install GlobalProtect VPN
- To connect to the Vendor VPN gateway, navigate to https://vendorvpn.villanova.edu in a web browser and enter your account username.

- Enter your password. If you do not have your password, please go to account.villanova.edu to activate your account or reset your password.

- You will then be prompted to authenticate your identity via our multi-factor authentication service, Microsoft Authenticator. Depending on your chosen method (number matching vs. passkey), your authentication experience may look different from the below screenshot. Please contact your account sponsor if there is any issue with multi-factor authentication.

- Select Windows 64 download for your operating system.

- Proceed through the prompts using the Next button to install GlobalProtect until the following prompt shows that the installation was completed. Click Close to exit.



Connect to GlobalProtect VPN
- Search for GlobalProtect or double-click the grayed-out globe icon in your taskbar.

- For Portal, enter vendorvpn.villanova.edu and then click Connect.

- You will be redirected to an embedded browser screen. Log in with your username and password and authenticate your identity via Microsoft Authenticator.
- If prompted in the embedded browser to allow this site to open the globalprotectcallback link, click Choose Application.

- Choose GlobalProtect and check the box for "Always use this application…" Then click Open Link.

- Once your client is connected, you will see the GlobalProtect icon in color with a check marked shield in your taskbar. If you hover over the icon, it will also say GlobalProtect Connected.

Disconnect from GlobalProtect VPN
- Search for GlobalProtect or double-click the globe icon in your taskbar.

- Click Disconnect.

- Once completed, you will see a browser pop-up that you are signed out of your account. You will also see that the GlobalProtect icon is grayed out in the taskbar.
