Before you can connect your iOS endpoint to the GlobalProtect network, you must download and install the app. If you do not already have the GlobalProtect app on your iOS endpoint, you can download it from the App Store.
After you download and install the app, you will be using a portal address of "vpn.villanova.edu" to connect. In addition, you will need to sign in with your Villanova username and password and authenticate with Microsoft Authenticator. Please keep in mind, access to Villanova resources is limited on mobile devices. To access secure servers and applications, please connect to VPN using a Villanova-issued device.
After you gather the required information, you can download and install the app as follows:
- Launch the App Store.
- Search for GlobalProtect.
- From the search results, select GlobalProtect™.
- The app developer is listed as Palo Alto Networks, and the icon is a globe with a shield and a check mark on it.
- From the GlobalProtect app product page, tap GET.
- Install the app.
- When prompted, Sign In with Apple ID.
- Once the app is installed, open the app. You will be prompted for a portal address. Enter vpn.villanova.edu then tap Connect.
- On the next screen, enter your VPN login credentials and tap OK.
- After entering credentials, you may be prompted by Microsoft Authenticator to complete multi-factor authentication (MFA) for the login. Review and complete MFA if it is related to your VPN login.
